From Early Questions To A
Modern Immersive Experience
The History Behind The Ark
The Ark has its roots in a fascinating history of ideas surrounding time, environment, perception and human experience. What began with questions about whether our surroundings could influence the way we experience ourselves eventually helped inspire a very different kind of wellness space.
Today, The Ark brings together elements including sound, vibration, quartz and carefully designed environment to create an immersive experience designed to help you step away from everyday distractions and take time for yourself.
Where The Idea
Began
One of the early questions behind the thinking that influenced The Ark was simple: Could the environment around us change the way we experience a moment?
Over time, researchers and thinkers explored how factors such as the shape of a space, reflective materials and reduced external stimulation might influence perception and awareness. These ideas were exploratory rather than established scientific fact. However, they contributed to a wider fascination with how changing our environment might create a different personal experience.
This became part of the inspiration behind The Ark.
Nikolai Kozyrev and
Early Inspiration
Nikolai Kozyrev was a Soviet astronomer and astrophysicist whose unconventional theories explored the nature of time.
His ideas were controversial and were not accepted as established scientific theory. Kozyrev did not create The Ark, nor did he build the structures later associated with the term "Kozyrev mirrors".
However his theories became part of the historical background surrounding later exploration of reflective and curved environments. For The Ark, the significance lies less in proving these historical theories and more in the question they helped inspire.
"Can changing our surroundings change the way we experience ourselves and the environment?"

The Reflective Chamber Experiments
Later experiments explored the experience of people inside curved or spiral-shaped chambers made using reflective materials.
Some participants described unusual sensations or changes in their perception of themselves and their surroundings. The more extraordinary claims associated with these experiments have not been reliably established by scientific research.
For The Ark, these experiments are part of the history of ideas that influenced its development not evidence that extraordinary effects have been proven.
The important idea is much simpler:
"Changing the environment can create a different experience."
From Environment To
Experience
The Ark takes the idea and develops it into a purpose-designed wellness environment. Modern life can be full of noise, interruptions and constant stimulation. The Ark provides an opportunity to step away from that environment and enter a space designed around immersion and focused attention.
Inside The Ark, the experience brings together.
The aim is not to recreate historical experiments, but to create a modern, personal wellness experience inspired by the broader area that our surroundings can influence how we experience a moment.
Sound and Frequency
Sound became an important part of the development of The Ark, introducing another way to create an immersive and calming environment. The Ark uses a range of frequencies referred to as Solfeggio Frequencies, from 396Hz to 963Hz.
Within The Ark experience, different frequencies can be associated with different areas of emotional wellbeing, from grounding and security through to self-expression, clarity and wider awareness.
These associations are part of the modern wellness framework surrounding Solfeggio frequencies. They should not be presented as scientifically proven healing effects, as research specifically examining individual Solfeggio frequencies remains limited.
Instead, The Ark uses sound and frequency as part of a personal, immersive experience.

A More Personalised Experience
No two people necessarily experience The Ark in exactly the same way.
Included in your session, a feedback report will be sent to you by email, giving you clear insights into your experience before and after your session.
Depending on the session, the experience may focus on three, four or all seven energy centres, while clients can also have a say in the areas they would personally like to explore. This creates a more individual experience rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
